Degreed's customer base expanded to nearly 100 clients after launching Degreed for Enterprise, earning several awards in 2015 and 2016.
In 2018, with the introduction of Skill Certification, Degreed's client base grew to over 150 organizations.
In July 2022, Degreed faced challenges exacerbated by the acquisition of another project by David Blake. Poor executive leadership led to the unfortunate decision to lay off over 100 employees to accommodate this new venture.
In August 2022, Degreed partnered with EasyGenerator, allowing authors to publish, maintain, and update e-learning courses directly from EasyGenerator to Degreed.
Anthony Carnevale, director of Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce, noted that services like Degreed focus on the time spent learning rather than the actual knowledge gained.
