Neuralink is developing an interface for direct control of computers and related machines using the power of thought. The company was founded by Elon Musk and has already developed the first implantable neurointerface chips, which are being tested on animals.
Neuralink is positioned as a breakthrough technology that will facilitate the management of complex machines and also become a tool for treating disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
The risks for developers of neurointerfaces include the inability to connect sensors to individual neurons at the current stage of electronics miniaturization.
