Evommune is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative therapies for chronic inflammatory diseases, with an initial emphasis on chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), atopic dermatitis (AD), and ulcerative colitis (UC).
Chronic inflammation represents a major global healthcare challenge, significantly impairing patients’ quality of life and contributing to life-threatening conditions. Without effective prevention and treatment, chronic inflammation can lead to fatal diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer—collectively responsible for three out of every five deaths worldwide—and accounts for an estimated $90 billion in annual healthcare costs in the United States.
Evommune’s portfolio currently includes two product candidates, EVO756 and EVO301, both in Phase 2 clinical trials. EVO756 is being developed for the treatment of CSU and AD, while EVO301 is being developed for AD and UC. Both programs have the potential for broad expansion across additional chronic inflammatory diseases. The company also plans to advance additional preclinical programs into clinical development.
Evommune’s most advanced clinical-stage candidate, EVO756, is a potent and highly selective oral small molecule antagonist of MRGPRX2—a receptor primarily expressed on mast cells and peripheral sensory neurons. The company is conducting a Phase 2b clinical trial of EVO756 in CSU and has completed a Phase 2 trial in chronic inducible urticaria.
