Natural gas is among the most important resources worldwide, playing a critical role in generating reliable electricity that underpins economic development and drives industry. When natural gas is supercooled to -260°F, it converts to a liquid state, reducing to 1/600th of its original volume. This transformation allows large quantities of natural gas to be loaded and transported by LNG tankers. The resulting LNG can reach international markets lacking domestic supply, displacing more carbon-intensive energy sources such as coal, diesel, and heavy fuel oil, and contributing to a cleaner energy future.
