Weekly Market Recap: A Biotech IPO Wave and a New Pre-IPO Platform

This week's IPO calendar, last week's closes, and Clear Street's new pre-IPO platform for Databricks — week of August 3, 2026

03/08/2026

Last week's IPO window featured three high-profile consumer and biotech debuts — Jersey Mike's, Reformation and Apnimed — covered in detail in our prior recap. This week (August 3–9, 2026) attention shifts to a fresh wave of biotech pricings and continued SPAC activity, alongside a notable expansion of private-market access for pre-IPO investors.

This Week's Debuts

As of Monday, August 3, no new IPOs have priced yet this week — four names are scheduled to price over the next several days:

  • ARC Group Securities Acquisition I (FJDIU) — SPAC, targeting $105 million, expected to price Tuesday, August 4.
  • BOA Acquisition Corp. II (THEOU) — SPAC, targeting $125 million, expected to price Tuesday, August 4.
  • Attovia Therapeutics (ATTO) — immune-disease biotech targeting $200 million at $15–$17 a share, expected to price Wednesday, August 5.
  • Braveheart Bio (BRVE) and Vogenx (VOGX) — both expected to price Thursday, August 6; Braveheart is targeting $300 million for its oral cardiac myosin inhibitor program for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Vogenx up to $75 million.

Fact vs. estimate: the pricings above are scheduled but not yet completed as of publication. Price ranges, deal sizes and dates are terms as filed/marketed and can change before — and after — pricing; treat them as estimates until a company actually prices.

For context, last week's three debuts closed out as follows: Jersey Mike's (JMKE) priced at $23 and closed its first trading day down about 6%; Reformation (REF) priced at $15 and closed roughly flat; Apnimed (APMD) priced at $16, the high end of an upsized range, and closed its debut day up 56%, at $25.

Notable Pre-IPO Story: Clear Street Opens a Private-Markets Platform

Fintech broker Clear Street this week launched a new private-markets platform giving accredited investors indirect exposure to pre-IPO companies, starting with a position tied to Databricks, the data and AI software company last valued near $188 billion. Clients don't buy Databricks shares directly; instead they take a stake in a special-purpose vehicle that itself holds an interest in a fund owning the stock. Clear Street says it plans to add up to 30 private companies to the platform by year-end — mostly firms in the $5 billion to $20 billion range that are roughly six months to two years from a possible IPO — with dedicated research led by analyst Owen Lau. Clear Street itself paused its own IPO plans earlier this year and is now looking toward a 2027 listing.

What's Ahead Next Week

Looking to the week of August 10, three smaller deals are on the calendar: BW Industrial Holdings (BWGC) is targeting roughly $17 million at $6–$7 a share; MetaOptics (MOT), an uplisting, is targeting about $18 million at $5–$7; and Riku Dining Group (RIKU) is targeting $25 million at $4–$6. None of these has priced yet, and small deals in this size range are prone to schedule slippage. Web3Labs Global (MDAT) is also expected to price later this week (week of August 7), targeting about $28 million. See our IPO Calendar for the full, continuously updated list.

Why It Matters for Pre-IPO and Tokenized Equity Investors

This week's calendar is a useful cross-section of where public-market risk appetite currently sits: a cluster of biotechs testing investor demand for early-stage, pre-revenue science, SPACs continuing to raise blind pools of capital, and a new brokerage platform working to bring pre-IPO access to a broader base of accredited investors. Each is a version of the same underlying question that matters for pre-IPO and tokenized equity investors — which private companies are close enough to a liquidity event that public-market pricing, rather than private funding rounds, starts to set the terms.
